Yvonne Shelton

When Yvonne was born on January 4, 1942, she was blessed with God-fearing parents Booker T and Annie Lee Cargile, who by example, taught Christian values and integrity at a young age. She united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until her transition.

On January 29, 1964, she married Bennie Shelton, and to this union, three children were born.

Yvonne transitioned this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. She was preceded in transition by her parents Booker T and Annie Lee Cargile, one son Perry Lee Shelton, four brothers, Lou Jean Cargile, Jimmy Lee Cargile, Bennie Cargile, and T.C. Cargile. Two sisters Ruthell Shelton, and Birdell Moore.

Her memories will be cherished by her husband of fifty-six years Bennie Shelton, one son Michael Shelton of Strong, AR, two daughters Alice Blackmon (Brian), Josephine Harris (Anthony) of El Dorado, AR, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild due October 30, 2020, special friends Nellie Pearl Crew of El Dorado, AR, and Angie White of Wesson, AR. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
