Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother Willie Levingston, a . Born on December 21, 1960, in El Dorado, AR, Willie was the eldest child of Willie Levingston and Bertha Dunn-Wiley. He peacefully departed from this world on March 13, 2024, in El Dorado, AR.
Willie was a devoted member of the El Dorado Boys and Girls Club, where he spent many years coaching basketball and positively impacting the lives of youth in his community. In his professional life, he worked at Milbank for 14 years until his health declined. Willie was a committed member of Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board and found solace in his faith.
In 1997, Willie entered into Holy Matrimony with his loving wife, Yolanda Smith, with whom he shared 28 memorable years. Together, they raised a beautiful family. Willie was a proud father to Daniel Levingston of Little Rock, AR, Brittney (Christopher) Martin of Sherwood, AR, Shelsea Snowden of Houston, TX, Ryan Snowden of Houston, TX, and Johnathan Snowden of Arlington, TX. Grandchildren: Robert Tyree III, Kaylan Martin Peace’ Snowden, Jewel Snowden, Pure Snowden, Ju'stasa and Ju'stash Fisher, and D'verryon Foster. His world brightened when his first grandson was born on his birthday in 2007. Willie cherished spending time with his grandchildren, watching sports, and enjoying Western movies.
Willie is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, H.L. and Mary Levingston, Jess and Callie Wiley, Maternal Grandparents Rufus and Nater Dunn, father-in-law Johnny Q Smith., and brother Morrell George.
Willie was a son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda, parents Bertha (Dan) Wiley of Dallas, TX, and Willie T (Adriene) Levingston of Detroit, Michigan, and mother-in-law Addie Smith of El Dorado, AR. Siblings: Brothers, Michael (Rachael) Levingston of Dallas, TX, William Barber of Detroit, Michigan, Dumon Bowie of St Louis, Missouri, Taveo Levingston of Detroit, Michigan; Sisters - Makare Levingston of Detroit, Michigan, Adriene Levingston of Detroit Michigan as well as a large extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
