Tanter Marie Berry (Beedie) was born June 27, 1955 to Oscar Berry, Sr. and Mattie Bell Rodgers in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Sis. Berry confessed her faith at an early age. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church of El Dorado.
Tanter was a dedicated, loving mother and friend to many. She had a warm welcoming smile and was an inspiration to all. She was very adventurous and loved to travel. She loved sewing, cooking, gardening and family gatherings. Her most joyous moments were spending time with children, grandchildren and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Berry, Sr. and Mattie Bell Rodgers, brothers Charles R. Walker and Harold Lee Terry and sister, Martesa Turner.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; three daughters, Rosalind R. Morris, Alisha D. Morris and Lonnette T. Washington of Irving, TX and one son, Robert L. Moore of El Dorado, AR. Three grandchildren; Tatyana K. Reynolds and Khylen L. Moore of El Dorado and Alana Marie Johnson of Irving, TX. One great grandchild, Chandler O. White of El Dorado, AR.
She is also survived by five brothers; Eartis L. Terry of Oakland, CA, Oscar Berry Jr., El Dorado, Allen Berry of Camden, AR, Tyrone Berry and Dewey Rodgers (Connie) of El Dorado. Three sisters; Linda R. Berry, Shelia R. Smith (Greg) and Teresa L. Turner of El Dorado.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at Sims Mortuary. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. James Baptist Church, under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook online at www.simsmortuary.com
