Sherrick “Missy” Mignon Gibson

Sherrick (Missy) Mignon Gibson was born on February 26,1969 in El Dorado, Ar. The daughter of Dorothy and OB Green and she attended Strong High School and graduated with the class of 87’. Sherrick Gibson also attended South Arkansas Community College and earned her Medical Coding Degree in December of 2011.

She accepted Jesus as her personal savior at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Hill AME Church in Strong Arkansas. She served as a Choir Director, and Sunday School Teacher.

Sherrick was employed at ConAgra for 11 years, Jackson Hewitt for 12 years, and started doing hair around the age of 12. Where later in life she decided to get her Beautician degree and had her own personal shop right behind her home.

Sherrick was a loving person and every time you see her she always had a smile on her face. In 1990, she met Sammy Gibson and to this union, 2 children were born. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Green, one brother Sharrick Green, and two sisters Rashondra and Sanchon Green and maternal grandparents, Alonzo and Mattie Simmons and paternal grandparents, Junious and Pinkie Green.

She leaves to cherish memories her husband of 27 years, Sammy Lee Gibson of Junction City, AR, one son Sammy Dhante Gibson of Junction City, AR, two daughter Sha’Cazza (Carlos) Gray and Rhy’kiya Gibson of El Dorado, AR, one step-daughter Angel ( Kelsey) Aaron of Florida, one granddaughter Keniyah Vhaness Lusk, and two grandsons Kelsey Jr. and Kannon Aaron, one sister Sherlyn (James) Lovette of El Dorado, AR, one brother Sha’Maski (Jaszmyn) Green of Ellenwood, Ga, a host of in laws, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and friends with fond memories of her life.
