Rosezena Kendrix Westbrook known by Rena was born July 27, 1933, in Farmerville, La., to Alfred Hendrix and Jewel Hendrix.
As a longtime resident of Urbana where she departed her life, she was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Rosezena spent her life loving on the kids, and grandkids who meant the world to her, she enjoyed fishing and cooking.
Rosezena departed her life on October 6, 2019, at her home in Urbana, where she was surrounded by her loved ones. Rosezena is preceded in death by her son Curtis Westbrook, Parnell Kendrix, four grandchildren, George and Richard Thrower, Darris Davis, and Magon Thrower. Five sisters, Lorene Green, Emma Logan, Mary Wilborne, Clara Mae Johnson, Velnea Kendrix, and Fannie Mae Benton, Four brothers, Waymon Kendrix, Alfred Kendrix Jr., Edward Kendrix, and Abraham Moore.
Her loving memories will be cherished by the love of her life of 60 long years William Colbert, one son, Calvin Colbert of El Dorado, AR, Farnell Kendrix of El Dorado, AR, Nellie Morgan (Joe) of Montgomery, Al., Ruby Bozeman of Columbus, Ga., Eloise Westbrook of Little Rock, AR., One sister Corene Rogers of Strong, AR., 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion M.B.C. #2 Urbana. Interment will be at Mt. Zion #2 Urbana Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook online at www.simsmortuary.com
