Roland Waller was born to Charlie and Elizabeth Waller on July 20, 1953, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He fell asleep in death on June 13, 2024.
Roland was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 12, 2014. A year after being baptized, he entered the full-time ministry. Roland loved Jehovah and the ministry. Although he was relatively quiet, he took to the ministry and loved talking to people about Jehovah. If you were in his car group, you knew you were in it for the long haul.
Roland also loved his family. He married the love of his life, Sheila, on December 30, 1974. Their union of forty-nine years brought about three children: Nicholas, Derrick, and Deshawn. He was a great father who loved his boys, but like most dads, when his sons had grandchildren, he flourished. Roland was crazy about his grandkids. Every time one of them called him 'Papa' a smile would spread across his face showing off his dimples. That smile, along with his calm and soothing nature, will be greatly missed.
Roland is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Waller; one sister, Linda Waller; two brothers, RJ Waller and Roy Lee Waller; and one aunt, Estelle Waller.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of forty-nine years, Sheila Waller; three sons, Nicholas Waller and Derrick Waller (Sherika), both of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Deshawn Waller of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Bertha Kendrick of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Doris Waller of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
