Raymond Jordan, Jr. was born on July 29, 1953, in El Dorado, AR, to the late Raymond, Sr. and Tressie E. Jordan.
Raymond confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He united with the Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he remained until his departure. The Lord called him to pastor for 14 years at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Louann, Arkansas, where he served faithfully until his earthly transition.
Raymond was a proud graduate of the El Dorado High School Class of 1972. After high school, he attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Raymond enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting, camping, and supporting his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Raymond was a devoted husband, bonus father, brother, uncle, friend, and pastor. He loved and adored his family. He had a genuine love for people and never met a stranger.
On November 30, 2007, he married the love of his life, Belinda Kaye (Pumphrey).
Raymond answered the call to come and live in his eternal home on December 10, 2024, at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. His parents and his beautiful sisters, Valerie and Mary, welcomed him into Heaven. He was also welcomed by his bonus son, Jay Moore.
His precious memories and legacy will be forever cherished by his wife, Belinda Kaye Jordan, and his bonus daughters, LaTarsha Holt of Shreveport, LA, and MeShayle Davis (Alfonzo J.) of El Dorado, AR. Grandchildren Shalanthya (Wallace) Monson, DeAuminique Meadows, Jaylah Davis, Jacoby Moore, and JaMiyah Davis. His memories will also be forever cherished by his nephews Mozell Moore and Darwin (Kimberly) Moore and nieces Ticye (Chris) McMahan, Nicole Lyons, and Cicely Moore. His memories will also be cherished by a host of cousins and friends.
Raymond loved all of his family unconditionally, and he will forever be in our hearts.
