Rebecca Jane White Johnson was born on November 6, 1942, to the late Louis and Pearl White of Opelousas, Louisiana.
She departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
A devout Christian, she united with the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church located in Opelousas, Louisiana, at an early age; after she moved to El Dorado, she became a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church located in Marion, Louisiana.
She graduated from J.S Clark High School, Opelousas, Louisiana, then graduated from Grambling State University, where she earned a BS degree in Elementary Education.
She taught for sixteen years and later opened Tots and Toddlers Daycare until her retirement.
Rebecca White married Louis Johnson on May 29, 1964, and remained married for fifty-six years. To this union, seven children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Pearl White, and one son Reginald Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Louis W. Johnson; six children Daryl Johnson (Alberta) of Killeen, Texas, Michael Johnson of Houston Texas, Ta’Nika Johnson of Dallas Texas, Dana Gray (Thomas) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Christopher Johnson of Fort Smith Arkansas, and Constance Crenshaw (Paul) of Killeen Texas. Rebecca had fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.
