Ray Beavers was called to eternal rest on Saturday, December 08, 2018 at the Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Ray Beavers was born on January 29, 1946 in Eldorado, Arkansas to Marshall and Susie Beavers. He attended Eldorado Public School.  He united with New Olive Branch Baptist Church.  He loved to fish and hunt.  He was truly an "Adventurous Man”, who loved the outdoors.

His parents, Marshall and Susie Beavers; sisters, Florence Pumphrey, Ella Mae Smith, Girtha Louis and one nephew Clifton Smith all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory to one daughter, Shaquanna Thurman (Isaiah); two grand-daughters, Sh’Isaiah Thurman, Sky’Lacia Thurman; one twin sister, Faye McHenry; six nieces, Jeanette Moore, Lois Pumphrey, Jean Clark, Ann McHenry, Shelia Jackson, McHenry and one nephew, Steve Ford.  He also leaves 7 grand-nieces, 11 grand-nephews, a host of great-grand nieces, nephews and friends.

Public Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 12-5:00 pm Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Sims Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook online at www.simsmortuary.com

Active pallbearers will be Demondre Jackson, James Jr. Shutes, Shawn Moore and Tavio Beavers.
