Pearline Fifer was born June 15, 1927. She was the daughter of Donnie Aaron, Sr. and Lena Bray, both of whom preced- ed her in death. In 1949, she united in holy matrimony to Jerry Lee Fifer (deceased). This blessed union of 62 years brought forth three children; Perry, Flossie, and Terry.
Whether she was referred to as “Sister Fifer”, “Bigmama”, or “Auntie”, she touched many lives. And all who knew her in- timately knew that she was a faithful Believer and servant of Jesus Christ. Over the years she served in several ministries such as Red Dot Circle, the Choir, Meals on Wheels, as Sun- day School teacher, Missionary President, and Vacation Bible School teacher.
Mrs. Fifer was a retired employee of Dixie Maintenance. She was the First Lady of Union Mission Baptist Church for 32 years. She later joined Greater Paradise Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Michael Pierce until her health prevented her from attending.
Mrs. Fifer peacefully transitioned to her eternal resting place on May 28, 2020 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.
Her loving and fond memories will be cherished by two sons, Perry L. (JoAnn) Fifer and Terry L. Fifer both of El Dorado Arkansas; one daughter, Flossie M. (James) McClel- land of Houston, Texas; one sister, Berline Norman of El Dorado, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
