Ms. Pauline White Whitfield (70), the third of nine children born on May 16, 1952, to the late Augusta White and Costella Benton White in Strong, Arkansas. She departed this life on July 13, 2022.
Pauline accepted the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. She attended the Pleasant Grove Church of God in Strong, Arkansas.
Pauline was a graduate of Gardner High School in Strong, Arkansas. She continued her education at Bay Ridge Christian College in Kendleton, Texas. Pauline later moved to Houston, Texas, where she was employed at Armco Steel Corporation until her health failed. Pauline was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life. She was a warm-hearted person who loved people, and people loved her. She was a stylish dresser and had a passion for modeling. Pauline was not only a fine dresser but a good cook and well known for her famous "Gumbo."
In 1981, Pauline's health failed her, and the family moved her back to El Dorado, Arkansas, and faithfully cared for her until the Lord called her home.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Augusta White, and two brothers, Andrew Lee White, Sr., and Jasper Joe White; maternal grandparents, Walter and Lena Henderson Benton; and paternal grandparents, Garland and Annie Belle Williams White.
Pauline leaves her cherished memories to her mother, Costella Benton White of El Dorado, AR; four sisters, Pearl (James) Welch and Rose White (Walter) Bailey of El Dorado, AR; Dorothy White Steward of Sherman, TX; and Gloria (Bill) Robinson of Strong, AR; two brothers, James E. (Trena) White, Sr. and Alvin White of El Dorado, AR; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and family.
