Ortaj J. Christian

On March 26, 1993, a curly head, one-dimple, smiling baby boy was born to Melissa Anette Moore and Booker Ervin Christian of El Dorado, AR. He spent most of his upbringing raised by his grandparents, Dewey and Daisey Wilborn.

Ortaj Javon Christian, Known as “OJ, or ‘the juice man’ was known to be a jokester and the life of the party at any gathering. He joined Zion Watch Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of his uncle, Rev. Donald R. Dreed. Ortaj attended El Dorado High School, where he was a member of the Jr. ROTC. He loved being around his family and friends. After graduating high school in 2012, he attended South Ark Community College. He then entered the workforce after becoming a devoted father to his only child (Javon). Ortaj was full of energy, and he loved to dance. His flashing smile made everyone he came into contact with fall in love with him and refer to him as their baby. When his health started failing, he left the workforce and became focused on family and friends, but he always had time to tell a joke and laugh out loud. Ortaj loved and lived his life according to OJ’s laws.

He was preceded in death by his father, Booker Ervin Christian; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Mable Christian; his loving Aunt Sandra Christian (Sookie); his Uncle Larry Christian Jr., His maternal grandfather, Dewey Wilbourn Jr., and Earl K. Milleage, and his Aunt Shan Cooper.

 He leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Melissa Anette Moore; his loving son, Javon Christian, maternal grandmother, Daisey Wilbourn (Nanny), four brothers, Trerrell Hildreth (TJ), Kylon Moore, Tylon Williams, and Shawn Christian, all of El Dorado, AR, his only sister Chanitae Hildreth of El Dorado, AR, his uncle Julious Mayweather of El Dorado, AR, a very special cousin, Keon Powell, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, close cousins and friends who will forever miss and love him.
