Merari Purez Davis, Electrical Engineer and a resident of El Dorado, Arkansas, died on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the age of 33.
Merari (Big Rob) is survived by his mother, Vonda Kaye Davis; father, Alvin L. Turner (Teresa); Sisters, Jolita Turner, Britney Fields, and brother Keith Turner. He is also survived by his special friend, Audriana Brandt, and her son (Chance).
Merari attended high school in El Dorado, Arkansas, where he was a member of the El Dorado Wildcat Football team. He was a recipient of the first El Dorado Promise scholarship given by Murphy Oil. He graduated from Louisiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering.
Merari had a passion for electronics that started when he was just four years old. His mother (Vonda) would find him on the floor messing with electrical sockets around the house. As he got older, he would tinker with things around the house and fix anything he put his hands on. His Uncle (Junior) taught him everything he knew about cars before he was a teenager.
His friends and family knew Merari as Big Rob, not only because of his stature but his “big heart.”
