Malik Omar Boone

Malik Omar Boone was born April 2, 1999, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Sharon Johnson-Samuel and Timothy X. Boone.

He transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, March 28, 2020.

Malik accepted Christ at an early age at Willow Grove Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Doyle McGhee, Sr., where he loved being a part of the youth department. Malik attended Smackover-Norphlet High School and was active in football. He loved his Norphlet Leopards but grew to become a proud buckaroo.

After graduation, Malik attended Southern Arkansas University. In May 2018, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He attended basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and proudly graduated on August 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. Malik loved playing video games, spending time with his niece Madalyn, and hanging with his brothers from another mother. Malik will be greatly missed by a great many people. He had a smile that would light up a room and a sweet spirit.

Malik was proceeded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Mattie and Gaddy Smith; paternal great-grandparents, Elise and Sie Boone, and Alma and Cortis Henry; Grandfathers Wille Alvin Johnson, Sr. and Ure Lee “Blackie” Boone, and Uncle Vincent Boone.

His memories will be cherished by his devoted parents; two sisters, ShaKayla Morgan and Teanna Boone, and one brother, Timothy Boone; his beloved grandparents, Ada Lawrence, Paul Lawrence, and Affie Henry- Boone; Aunts, Elaine Ridgell, Pamela Groves (Roosevelt), Brenda Lawrence, Adrienne Lawrence, LaQuita Boone, Angela Lumsey (Cory), and Carolyn Ephraim; Uncles, Gregory Andrews (Corretha), Franklin Andrews, Ricky Boone, Willie Johnson Jr., Jewel Boone and Paul Lawrence Jr. (Lareesha); a special cousin, Chela Mitchell, and a host of cousins and friends.
