On October 9, 1980, at 4:47 am, John F. Moore, Jr. and Belinda K. Jordan welcomed their baby boy, John Jermareal "Jay' Moore.
Jay confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He united with the Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he remained until his departure. While living in Iowa, he attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church until his health began to fail in January. At Olive Branch, he served as the drummer for many years until he went to college. He worked for Options of Linn County in Cedar Rapids, IA, for 17 years.
Jay attended Hugh Goodwin Elementary School and Rogers Middle School and was a proud graduate of the El Dorado High School Class of 1999. He was awarded "Most Handsome" of his class. He later attended Henderson State University and the University of Iowa.
Jay enjoyed cooking, grilling, playing drums, and supporting his favorite team, the Chicago Bears.
Jay answered the call to come and live in his eternal home on July 8, 2023, at St. Luke Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, John F. Moore, Jr., his grandfather, John F. Moore, Sr., his aunts Alfriza Anita Moore, Rose Mary Moore, Lillie Ruth Edmondson, and many other family members and friends.
His precious memories and legacy will be forever cherished by his wife, Robbin Jordan Moore; his son Jacoby Jermareal Moore; his mother, Belinda K Jordan (Rev. Raymond Jordan, Jr.); his sister MeShayle Moore Davis (Jason); his nieces, Jaylah & JaMiyah Davis and Skylar Jackson. His memories will also be forever cherished by his grandparents, Charlie & Pearline Pumphrey and Alfriza Moore, aunts Melwyn Johnson-Primus (Moses), Sherlean Chaney, Lettie Williams (Darius), and Shan Mayweather (Elmer),one Uncle Charles Pumphrey. His memories will also be cherished by his hosts of cousins and friends. Jay loved all of his family unconditionally. His memories will also be cherished by his bonus sons Angus Hill, Chad Hill and Blake Hill.
Jay was loved by all, and he will forever be in our hearts.
