To know Jamal is to have witnessed love, respect, and joy. His smile preceded him. He was born in El Dorado, AR, and attended primary school at Retta Brown (1st - 4th). He moved at the age of ten to Enid, Oklahoma (Vance Air Force Base) and then to McKinney, TX, where he graduated from McKinney High School in 2020. He worked for Home Depot in McKinney, TX, then returned to his roots in El Dorado, AR. He then worked for Atwoods and then Polyethlene Containers Inc.
His life was most joyful when he was fishing and hunting. The gentle giant will forever be loved and missed.
Jamal is preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Ford Bowens, Uncle Cedric Swift, and Uncle Christopher Toney.
Jamal is survived by his Mother, Jaquetta Jones (Henry Jones), and his three sisters, Hannah Jones, Hailey Jones, and Hayven Jones, and father, Kevin Gibson (Jessica Gibson), and his three sisters, Aaliyah Hollaway, Ashanti Gibson, Dominique Gibson and two brothers Tye Gibson, Tyrese Gibson. A grandmother, Rhonda Kay Wallace Dade, grandfather Doyle Toney (Brigette Toney), Grandfather Gary Gibson Sr., a great-grandmother Helen Wallace, and great-aunt Lesia Dismuke. An uncle, Taurean Brogdon Sr. (Doreen Brogdon), and cousins Zahria Brogdon, Taurean Brogdon Jr, and Riley Brogdon. Other uncles, Gary Gibson Jr., Brandon Gibson, and Antonio Gibson. An aunt, Shameka Wallace Montgomery (Kinji Montgomery), two cousins, Gabriella Montgomery and Kinji Montgomery Jr, an uncle Pierre Dismuke, and two cousins Kali Dismuke and Alizabeth Dismuke. He has a host of other loving relatives and friends.
