A Time to be Born: Herman Levingston Jr. was born on April 7, 1954, in St. Louis, MO, to Herman Levingston and Ruby L. McHenry
A Time to Change: At a very early age, he accepted Christ and went on to accomplish great things. Of that, his greatest accomplishment was being married to the love of his life for 48 years Mrs. Sherry Levingston, and their daughter- Teniqua Williams (David).
A Time to Work and Serve: Herman Levingston completed Bible College and graduated from El Dorado High School class of 1972. Herman loved to serve and help others. He was a very wise and generous man. He began his career at UPS and then moved on to Prescolite. Herman worked as a chemical engineer and retired from Great Lakes Chemical after 35 years of service.
A Time to Laugh: He devoted his heart and soul to sharing time with his family and friends. If you knew Herman, you knew he was full of laughter and joy and always the life of the party. Herman was a very strong, caring, compassionate, and outspoken person who was loved by many. He lived his life to the fullest and accomplished many goals. He surely would tell people like it was and didn’t cut any corners while doing so.
Herman served as an inspiration to his community and led by example. He was the epitome of excellence and didn’t mind sacrificing for others. He loved his family and friends, and his memory will continue to live through all those he impacted.
A Time for Goodbye: Our creator called home his beloved son on January 18, 2022. He felt he was too good for this world and decided it was time to bring him home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Levingston and Ruby L. McHenry. Two brothers, Alvin (Lori) Livingston Herman (Nadine) Livingston. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 48 years, Mrs. Sherry Levingston. His daughter- Teniqua (David) Williams. Loving siblings Velma Livingston, Edgar (Deborah) Livingston, Gregory (Mary) Livingston, Janet (Dewayne) Livingston, Michael (Olga) Livingston, Steven (Lori) Livingston, Anthony (Jadelyn) Livingston, Herman (Shawn) Livingston, Franklin (Marilyn) McMurrian, Joe Nathan (Elizabeth) McMurrian, David (Sonya) McMurrian, Jacob (Tammy) McMurrian and Rubie McMurrian. He also leaves behind six grandchildren Bobbi (Chris) Nettles, Courtney Barnes, Davia Williams, Teniya Williams, Tabria Williams, and Demia Williams. 6 great-grandchildren, Malachi Levingston-Barnes, Kyrie Nettles, India Nettles, Kwame Chisolm, De’Vondre Stewart, Tamariyannah Stewart, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
