Our beloved brother, Ezekiel Ridgell Jr., better known as Zeke, ascended to heaven on January 21, 2021. Born February 17, 1962, Zeke was 58 years old when he passed away in El Dorado, AR. Zeke was preceded in death by his parents Ezekiel and Dorothy Ridgell, and one sister Dorothy Jean Ridgell.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss of two children – one son DeAngelo Ridgell and one daughter, Briana Stanley; two brothers- Albert Ridgell of Little Rock and Curtis Ridgell of El Dorado; four sisters – Betty Frazier, Dossie Frazier, and Carolyn Pfieffer of El Dorado and Doris Smith of Little Rock; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.
Zeke was a career employee at ConAgra, where he worked for 30 years and made a host of acquaintances and friends. He was the life of the party – his quick humor and infectious laugh made everyone in his presence instantly feel right at home. Everybody knew Zeke, and everyone who knew him loved him. He truly was a beacon of light, and now our world is a little dimmer without him.
Zeke was an amazing man and larger life to most of us.
We will always remember him for his quick wit and funny jokes that kept us laughing until we hurt. He filled a special place in each of our hearts – and had a special name for all of his nieces and nephews; Neke, Gobo, Gizmo, Crunchy, HeadQuarter, Puff, Pearl, Patrick, and Mr. Belvedere, to name a few.
