Elois Mason

Elois J. Mason was born on December 6, 1953 to Gracie L. Williams and Willie R. Williams in Union County. Elois passed away at CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital on February 17, 2019.

Elois accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of New Olive Branch  Baptist Church since childhood. Elois was a 1972 graduate of El Dorado High School. Elois married Freddie L. Mason (deceased) in 1971 and from that union they had daughters Freda T. Mason and Lydia K. Mason. Elois spent most of her  adult life in Oakland, CA loving and raising her family and worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by five brothers; Willie V. Williams, Lester L. Williams,  Chester L. Williams and Carl R. Williams and one sister, Linda F. Easter.

Elois leaves to mourn two daughters, Freda T. Mason of Irving, TX and Lydia K. Mason of Stockton, CA; three granddaughters, Kaila A. Jones, Aniya K. Jones, both of El Dorado, AR and Kassidy A. Jones of Irving, TX and her only great granddaughter, Saiyah I. Brown; two sisters, Annie Brock (Charles Brock) and Gladys Christian both of El Dorado and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Public visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at New Olive Branch Baptist Church. Interment will be at Lott Burgy Cemetery under the  direction of Sims Mortuary. Pallbearers will be her Classmates Deacon Jones, James Edmonds, Paul Woods, Dewayne Turner, David Taylor and James Evans. Honorary Pallbearers will be  Chadwick McDaniel, Simeon McDaniel, Jamie Barnett, Chaffin Brock, Arnold  Furlough and Melvin Mosley.
