On November 28th, 1955, God blessed Roosevelt Pittman and Ethel Lee Baker with a baby girl whom they named Dorothy JoAnn Pittman.
Dorothy, a woman of vibrant spirit and casual banter, igniting the room like a firecracker. She had a talent for conveying her emotions through language. With a heart of gold, she extended her hand to all in need.
A faithful patron of Brookshire's, Dorothy's weekly grocery runs were more than just errands-they were opportunities to share and spread her generous spirit. She didn't just shop for herself; she shared her abundance with her family and friends.
Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her legacy of generosity lives on in the hearts of all fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering presence continues to illuminate our lives, a testament to the assertiveness that she exhibited.
She was a 1973 graduate of Strong High School. After high school, she became employed with Conagra and Best Western. She was highly motivated and always on the lookout for new job prospects.
Dorothy transitioned on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, in Strong, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Joe Shelton, and a sister, Diana Pittman.
