Deacon Jimmy Wilson

Bro. Jimmy Lee Wilson, 65, was born August 10, 1958, to the union of William (Shug) Wilson and Eula Childs Wilson of Banks, AR.

He departed this earthly life Friday, May 24, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1966 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jessie Raford Sr.

Jimmy graduated from Banks Public School. While working in El Dorado, Jimmy met and married Charlean Brown, and they raised three sons. After relocating to El Dorado, Jimmy united with New Bethel Baptist Church and was a faithful member. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon.

He never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and caring for cattle. He loved to prepare Sunday and Holiday meals for family and friends and was always willing to share with others. He was often called the Green's Man!
Jimmy was preceded in death by his Parents, one brother, wife Charlean, and son Christopher Lamar Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Bwerani Bonner (Tiffany) of Texarkana, TX, and Nicholas Duran Wilson of El Dorado; two sisters, Pauline (Polly) of Milwaukee, WI, and Margie of Banks, AR; six grandchildren, Bwerani DeWayne Bonner Jr., Armani D'Shantell Bonner, Gabriel DeWayne Bonner, Jaylon Hutchings—Bonner, Adr'anna Wilson, and Christopher Wilson Jr.; one great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.
