Deacon Billy McAdoo

Deacon Billy Ray McAdoo was born to the late Emma and Jim McAdoo on June 25, 1942, in Smackover, AR.

He departed this life on Saturday, July 15, 2023. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir, a member on the Deacon Board, assistant superintendent of Sunday school, and a member of Layman. Billy was a bricklayer and delivered Mountain Valley water until his health failed. He was a loving husband and father.

He is preceded in death by his son Reggie McAdoo and four brothers, George, Jimmy, Clarence, and L. McAdoo. Two sisters, Viola Bass, and Virda Caldwell.

His precious memories will be cherished by his wife, Dorothy McAdoo. Daughters Dena Williams of Smackover, AR, Vicki McAdoo, Jacqueline McAdoo, and Stephanie Sinners, all of Camden, AR. Sons Billy (Charolette) McAdoo and Timmy McAdoo, both of Smackover, AR, Clifford McAdoo of Camden, AR; Sister Lula Scurry of Kansas City, Mo; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
