Cynthia Diana Washington Lockett was born on February 21, 1959, in Monroe, LA. The daughter of the late Luther Willis Washington and Mildred Lee Washington Ford. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR. She was a graduate of El Dorado High School class of 1979.
She loved her family and loved to boss us around like we were her kids, but that was fine with us.
We always had to check with her before we did any family function. She also loved to travel with her husband, David Lockett. The two were always going out of town until she couldn’t travel anymore. She will truly be missed by the entire family.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, one daughter: Carla Cook, two brothers: Joe Willis Washington and Calvin Washington, one sister Linda Washington.
On September 22, 2020, she transitioned to a perpetual resting place. Her precious memories will be eternally cherished by her husband David Lockett, three sons: Stacy Washington (Felicia), David Jr. Lockett, and Lance Lockett, one daughter Heather Lockett (Marcus), four brothers: Kenneth Blackman (Terri), James Washington (Linda) of El Dorado, AR, Markquette David Washington of Little Rock, AR, one Sister Marion Lisa Lewis (Kevin) of Pine Bluff, AR., one grandson, Cameron Washington of El Dorado, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A very special friend to the family Sis. Jannie James and a very special thanks to Hospice and Sims Mortuary.
