CleVester Cobb Williams was born on February 29, 1948, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Willie A. Cobb, Sr. and Florence Ganter Cobb. She departed this life on April 6, 2020.
CleVester accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Starlight Baptist Church, Wesson Street COGIC and later Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she remained an active member. She would always say “I’m a Traveling Saint” God is Everywhere!
CleVester was married to Wallace J. Cutter, and to this union of Patrice Cutter Andrews and Shango Cutter were born. She later married Elbert Williams Jr. And remained with Elbert for over 27 loving years, until his death.
She served on many church auxiliaries such as the church Choir, Usher Board, Mission, and Mission President, Mothers board, and Golden Ages. She was also a member of the ELKS, Pride & Progress & Other organizations. She also did volunteer work at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1965. She was also a graduate of the Oil Belt Vocational LPN class of El Dorado, Arkansas.
She was a devoted LPN, for over 30 years. CleVester was a true servant to whom she nurtured and cared for so many people even if she had to bring them to her home. Until the end, she was committed to her precious patient, Margaret Compton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Florence Cobb, her husband; Elbert, her sisters; Thelma Sue Davis, Freddie Murphy, and her brother; Willie A. Cobb Jr., and Step-Daughter Yvonne Taylor, Great-Grandson; Kendric “Fat” Sumler and Granddaughter Tabatha Shontay Andrews.
CleVester was affectionately known as “Mutt” to most people. If you were ever around her, she would always make you laugh. She had a gift of making others around her laugh, no matter the circumstances.
CleVester is survived by her daughter; Patrice Andrews (Gary), and her son; Shango Cutter, both of El Dorado, AR. Her daughter-in-love; Deborah Holmes Cutter, Step-son; Tommy Amos; (3) Sisters; Patsy Staggers (Tommie) of Little Rock, AR. Sharon Modica (Kenneth) and Jackie Cobb Jackson, both of El Dorado, AR. (2) Brothers; Wayne A. “Tony” Cobb of El Dorado, AR. and Alfred Hert of Eastvale, CA. She also was survived by (9) Grand-Children, (20) Great-grandchildren and a Host of Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
