Claudie Thomas was born July 24, 1936, in Minden, Louisiana, to Pearline Beasley.
He departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Courtyard Rehabilitation Center, El Dorado, AR. He attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He graduated from Washington High School; after graduation, he started working for Dixie Maintenance as Custodial Manager for over 40 years; he worked to make sure everything looked good!
Claudie did a lot of other jobs as well, and he was an awesome painter. He also tried his talent as a singer. He was a member of a small singing group.
Claudie loved fishing, a talent he got from his mother. She taught him how to fish, and he took his children and taught them how to catch a fish!! His favorite pastime was Whistling.
Claudie loved his kids; he spent many days and nights laughing and talking about life and his good times with them.
Claudie met and married Faye Rhodes, and two children, Nicky Evan and Crissy LaShana, were born to that union. He later enjoyed spending his life with his companion, the late Liz Willis.
Claudie was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Freddie Frazier and George Beasley.
He is survived by his son Nicky (Doris) Thomas of Dallas TX, and daughter Crissy Thomas of Smackover, AR; two grandchildren, Tedrek (Shawana) Thomas Taylor Jackson; three great-grandchildren, one brother, Edward Staples of Dallas, TX; and one sister, Lillie Faye Turner of Dallas, TX, his sister-in-law, Mary Frazier of El Dorado, two special nieces, Jacqueline Lewis and Yolanda Turner. A host of Family & Friends that will miss his smiling face.
