Chico Caver was born on August 1, 1975, to Willie and Bobbie Jean Ruffin Caver in El Dorado, Arkansas.
He departed this life on March 9, 2021, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Chico was a 1993 graduate of El Dorado High School. In the spring of 1998, he pledged brotherhood to the Omega Psi Phi fraternity at the University of Pine Bluff. In 1998, he also graduated from The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Psychology degree. The Department of Human Services employed him upon graduating.
Chico was a referee for many years at the Boys and girls club. He also became a member of the El Dorado Lodge 151 (PHA). He was a people person and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved doing anything to bring the family together like old times. He also loved to switch identities; he was commonly known as James Ruffin Turner. To his nieces and nephews, he was “Uncle Chico Sergeant Sir.” He also loved to spend time with his granddaughter Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Angel Caver and brothers Rickey Caver Sr. and Antonio Caver.
Chico leaves to cherish his memory four daughters Brianna “Bri” Caver of El Dorado, Melanie “Mel” Moore of Nashville, TN, Trinity “Half Pint” Caver of Little Rock, and Halle “Halle Maely” Caver of Tyler, TX. One son Brennan “DaBoy” Caver of El Dorado. Three brothers: Reginald (Loretta), Caver Sr., Andre (Debra), Caver Sr., and Carlos Caver. Four Sisters: Angela Caver-King, Barbara (Darrell) Porter, Sonya (RJ) Hicks, and LaTonya Caver. One granddaughter: Jordan Love Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
