Cherie Renee Jackson-Voltz, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. Cherie was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Cherie was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on August 9, 1957, to Fleda and Bonnie Jackson. She was a dedicated member of her community and spent her life enriching the lives of those around her. Cherie was passionate about helping anyone she came in contact with and was known for her singing in various churches. Her dedication to helping others will leave a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Cherie worked in telecommunications for 27 years, holding various positions at Ameritech, formerly known as Southwestern Bell. Her commitment and expertise in her field were highly regarded by her colleagues and peers.

Cherie was a devoted member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, until her health started to decline. Her faith and community were very important to her. Cherie loved spending time with her family, especially during holiday gatherings where her laughter and singing would fill the room.

Cherie is survived by her children: Jeremy (Stephanie) Jackson Sr. of Strong, AR; Leon (Myeekedra) Voltz Jr. of North Little Rock, AR; and Kendrick Voltz of Strong, AR. She is also survived by her grandchildren: La'Kiya Jackson, Jeremy Jackson Jr., Jre'Von Jackson, Mar'Keilen Voltz, Kendall Johnson, Leon Voltz III, and Kylen Voltz; her godson Johnathon Conner; her godsister Deir Love of Saginaw, MI; her sisters-through-life Dellena Conner of Saginaw, MI, Chantelle Cheeseborough of Charlotte, NC, and Mary Scott-Kennedy of Union Springs, AL. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members.

Cherie was preceded in death by her mother, Fleda M. Henderson; her father, Bonnie Jackson; her stepfather, Hezekiah Henderson; her brothers, Hervann Jackson, Earl Henderson, and Charles Henderson; her sister, Gerralynn Henderson; and her grandparents, Joanna Gatson Abson and Guffie Abson.

Cherie's warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
