Carolyn Ann Samuel was born to Van and Rosie Lee Samuel on November 6, 1962, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was a graduate from Henderson State University with a Bachelors in Science. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She worked for the Department of Human Services, devoting many years of her services to the community and families of several counties for 31 years.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories a son, Matthew Alexander Carter, her Daughter, Kenetria De Quan Johnson, two grandchildren, Jakayla Danyell Jones, and Jerkayden Dewayne Jones, three sisters Mary Lee ,Kera Lashay Washington- Samuel, Rhonda Middleton Samuel, two brothers, Cedric Dewayne Middleton Samuel, Rickey Lee Middleton, Cousin-daughter, Teresa Johnson, cousin-brother, Walter Lee Samuel, Niece, Raven Antoinette Lee, Zariah and Zenith Middleton, her only great-niece, Lexington Joy Lee, Nephew, CJ , and Brother in Law Ryan Bullard, Springdale, AR and many cousins, uncles, and aunts as well as many fellow DHS family and friends of the community.
Public Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Sims Mortuary. Memorial services will be Friday, September 20, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church., under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Cremation services entrusted to Sims Mortuary.
