Carlton Ray Modica was born September 18, 1954, in El Dorado, Arkansas; Willie A. Modica and Mae Odis Montgomery Modica. Carlton accepted Christ as his personal lord and savior at a young age at Morning Star Baptist Church. He was active in the choir and usher board. Inheriting the gift of singing from his father, he would sing with his nephews around the house and motivated them to try to sing.
Carlton loved baseball and most of all, enjoyed the San Francisco 49ers. He was a member of the El Dorado High School Class of 1972. Being in the house of one girl and ten boys, Carlton embraced all sandlot sports.
Like most Modica men, Carlton was a great cook. He worked at various restaurants and retired from Sonics in El Dorado.
Carlton married the love of his life Belinda Modica, and they enjoyed 17 years of marriage.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Andrew Lee Modica, Sr., Henry Earl Modica, and Robert E. Modica.
His memories will be cherished by his wife, Belinda Andrews Modica of El Dorado, AR; his children, Antanette Modica of San Francisco, CA; Shabreka Meeks of El Dorado, AR; and Reginald Meeks of Little Rock, AR; a sister, Willie Mae Johnson of Oakland, CA; his brothers James A. Modica of Smyrna, GA; Benny Modica of Jacksonville, AR, Michael Modica (Wendy) of Russellville, AR; Kenneth Modica, Sr., (Sharon), Edward Modica (Linda), and Gregory Modica all of El Dorado, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
