Barbara Daniels was born on July 7, 1954, in Huttig, Arkansas, to the late Willie Sims and Annie Mae Sims. She accepted the Lord at an early age. She attended Huttig School.
She possessed a strong work ethic and was employed by Lagrange Memorial Hospital as a dietitians for 33 years. She was also employed at The Medical Center of South Arkansas until her health failed.
She was married to Johnnie Gunn Sr. for 27 years, and one son was born into this union.
She was a person who didn't mind helping anybody. One of her greatest joys was spending memorable moments with relatives and friends. She possessed a friendly spirit and never met a stranger.
She meant what she said and said what she meant. Her natural wit and humor could never be duplicated.
Family and friends will miss her smile and love but will never forget her.
On Saturday, May 7, 2022, she passed into the Lord's embrace at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Della Gunn.
She leaves her cherished Memories to her child Johnnie Gunn Jr. (Cassandra) of Crossett, AR, special friend Johnnie Gunn Sr. of Crossett, AR, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters Willie Harris of Summit, IL, Carolyn Norman of Huttig, AR, and one brother James Sims of Huttig, AR. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
