Anthony Harris also known as “Reb” was born October 24, 1961 to Mabel and Charles Harris.
He confessed a belief in Christ and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He later united with Curry Chapel where he was a faithful member of the choir. He also served as a trustee and President of Men of Curry. He was a member of the Frankie Andrews Concert Choir for over 30 years. His voice was angelic and singing “Jesus is Love” brought joy to his heart. He graduated from Strong High School in 1980. He attended several colleges such as Henderson State where he studied psychiatry. He later studied at Forest Echoes where he received his degree in Industrial Equipment Technology. He worked several years at Medlin’s Hardware. He also worked for RSC, e was your Neighborhood “Mr. Fix It.” No matter how big or small the job was you could always count on him to get the job done. There are no words to describe the dedicated and hard worker that he was.
He was united in holy matrimony to Josephine Thomas June 28th 1997, the two of them shared 27 wonderful years together.
Anthony transitioned to his resting place on December 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Mabeline and Charles Harris, two brothers, Chester and Stephano Harris. One son Brian Harris.
Anthony’s memories will be cherished by his loving wife Josephine Harris. Three sons: Devario Harris of Des Moines, Iowa, Toronto Hicks, Morris (Victoria) Robinson Jr. both of El Dorado, Arkansas. Three daughters: Lacee Harris of Charlotte North Carolina, Catherine (Erik) Sellers of Conway, Arkansas, and Porchia Robinson of El Dorado, Arkansas. Four sisters: Shelia (Roy) Curtis of Crossett, Arkansas, Patricia Robinson of El Dorado, Arkansas, Dortha Miller and Stephanie (Robert) Ford both of Strong, Arkansas. Six brothers Micheal Harris of Tennessee and Danny (Felicia) Harris of Crossett, Arkansas Pastor Kenneth (Sandra) Harris of Strong, Arkansas, Moses Ingram of Duncanville, Texas, Gregory Ingram of El Dorado, Arkansas and Keith Haynes of Houston, Texas. Two Lifelong friends: Charles Oguinn and Charles Davis both of El Dorado, Arkansas. Seventeen grandchildren: He has a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends that will miss him tremendously.
