Addie Mae Holmes was born May 24, 1944, to the late Fessor Gray Sr. and Lorine Phillips Gray. She surrendered her life to Christ at an early age to Mt. Calm Baptist Church in Summerfield, La. She later became a member of Evergreen International Ministries in El Dorado, AR.
She departed this life on December 15, 2021, at Baptist Health in North Little Rock, AR.
Addie was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Diane Holmes, two sisters: Corneal Gulley and Mary Judy Montgomery, four brothers: James Howard, Eugene Gray, Bobby (Pete) Gray, Fessor (Sam) Gray Jr., granddaughter Shameka Holmes, and great-grandson Kason Holmes.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters Valena (Patrick) Rogers of El Dorado, AR; Etta Rone of Arlington, TX; Dianna (Wallace) Cutter of El Dorado, AR, Four sons: Michael (Yvonne) Gray of El Dorado, AR, Charles (Sharon) Holmes of El Dorado, AR, Steven (Lisa) Holmes of Monroe, La. Ravontae Holmes of El Dorado, AR, Two stepdaughters: Sharon (Robert) Smith of El Dorado, AR, Keisha (Torrey)Dawkins of El Dorado, AR, two of her granddaughters that she raised Shaquayla Wade and Yasmine Holmes of El Dorado, AR. Three sisters: Clarene Parker of Houston, TX, Edna Traylor of El Dorado, AR, Margie (Bobby) Gray of Spearsville, La, and one brother: Clinton Gray of SanDiego, Ca, 25 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, Goddaughters Carmen Rucks and Lex Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
