A Godly life was called to eternal rest on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the James L. West Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Sandra accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Morning Star #2 Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. She later united with Evergreen Full Gospel,where she served as a choir member, Sunday School Teacher and mission worker. Her greatest passion was aiding the elderly, such as cleaning their homes, tending to personal errands and always available to lend a helping hand. She eventually found rest with the New Bethel Baptist Church where she was involved in Circle Lydia, Sunday School and also assisted with the youth and kitchen committee when her health permitted. She attended El Dorado High and later received her GED from Oil Belt Technical School. She worked over 25 years in retail management and enjoyed providing good customer service. She united in Holy Matrimony to Sammy Lee Scott on September 22, 1972 and to this union two sons were born. Her mother,three sisters, Annette, Carolyn, Franeshia, paternal and maternal grandparents all preceded her in her death. Sandra leaves to cherish her loving memories; her father Floyd and stepmother Alberta Sims of El Dorado, Arkansas. A husband and caregiver Sammy Lee Scott of El Dorado, Arkansas; Two sons, Sammy Lamont Scott(Quizzetta) and William Earl Scott(Raven) both of Arlington, Texas. Four Brothers; Michael Williams(Vanessa) of Ocela, Florida, Jimmy Williams(Clara) of El Dorado, Arkansas, Reginald Williams(Terrie) of Kunsan, Korea and Gerald Williams(Denise) of Washington State, Washington; six sisters, Brenda Billings(Freddie) of Junction City,Arkansas, Florida Cowley of Florrisant, Missouri, Linda Sims of Landover, Maryland, Constance Sims of Arizona, Tonya and Falundrus Sims both of El Dorado, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Sequoya, Sarye, Sam and Gabriel. She leaves a host of aunts,uncles, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Homegoing Services for Sandra will be held on Saturday, February 3,2007, 2:30 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Grove Wesson Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be Friday,February 2,2007 from 8:30am-5:30pm. Family hour from 6-7pm. and Saturday, February 3,2007 from 8:30-12:30. The family will be at 147 Caledonia Road, Junction City, Arkansas.
