Bro. Tommy L. Dickerson was born August 19, 1931 in Magnolia, Arkansas, the son of Charlie and Lillian Dortch Dickerson. He united with the First Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member until his death. He was a graduate of Washington High School and served in the United States Army. His parents and a brother, Charlie Dickerson precedes him in death. Bro. Dickerson departed this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Hillsboro Manor Life Care Center. Bro. Dickerson leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wonderful daughter, Brenda Rena Dickerson Stanley and her husband Victor of Smackover, Arkansas and one son, Rev. Casey Wade and his wife Cheryl of El Dorado, Arkansas. Six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a special aunt, Gertrude Miller of Lubbock, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special friends from Townhouse Restaurant. Homegoing Services for Bro. Dickerson will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church-Cordell, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Billy Artis officiating. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery, Magnolia, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held, Friday, January 19, 2007 from 1:00-5:30pm and Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 8:30-9:30am.
