The Lord called one of his faithful servants to a land more beautiful than he had ever known. Elder Lennie Ray Miller lived a blessed and fruitful life, this life ended when God called his servant home, on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Lennie was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Willie B. and Msn. Myrtle Lee Clemons Miller. His growth in Christ started at an early age, at the Wesson Street Church of God in Christ in El Dorado, Arkansas under the guidance of his uncle Superintendent Lennie Clemons, Sr. In 1991 He relocated to North Little Rock,Arkansas. Lennie then united with the Greater New Bibleway Church of God in Christ, under the guidance of Superintendent Rodchester Rodgers, Sr. Lennie accepted his call into the ministy, February 2, 2003. He became an ordained Elder in August, 2004. Lennie served as Sunday School Teacher for five years. He also served as the President of the Evangelistic Department at the Greater New Bibleway Chruch of God in Christ, from 2004 until he was called home to be with the Lord. Lennie joined in holy matrimony to Tammy Burris Miller on August 31, 1996 at the Greater New Bibleway Church of God in Christ. They shared a lifetime of love and togetherness. Together they grew in Christ and learned to acknowledge him their daily walk. His maternal and paternal grandparents, a son, Len'onte Miller and a daughter, Lenneshea Miller, a brother Steven B. Miller and a sister, Emma L. Miller all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving wife, Tammy Burris Miller of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two sons, Jeremy Miller and Lennie Miller, Jr. both of North Little Rock, AR; seven daughters, Courtney & KeiShawna Miller both of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Charisma Miller, Rachelle Miller, La Tasha, Lenethea and Arnethea Miller all of El Dorado, Arkansas; eight brothers, Supt. Herman Hayes, Sr.(Delores), Michael Miller(Veronica) and William Miller all of El Dorado, Arkansas, Elder Eddie Lee Miller(Edwina), Min. Rickey L. Miller, Sr.(Charlotte), Marvin D. Miller, Michael L. Miller(Veronica), Tony D. Miller(Riva)all of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven sisters, Msn. Bertha Mitchell(Roy) Myrtle Charise Easter(Darryl) Shemecca T. Hill(Jerry) Dorneshia R. Boyd(Jackie)all of El Dorado, Arkansas, Msn. Norma J. Blackmon(James) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Msn. Stephane Ford(Chris) of Sherman, Texas and Msn. Beverly Ross of Japan; six grandchildren, 5 godchildren. A geat number of special nephews and nieces; three uncles, Supt. Lennie Clemons, Sr.(Christine), Jodie Clemons(Lula Mae) and Rev. Leon Miller, Jr. (Helen); three aunts, Corrine Harris, Mother Mary Ford and Evang. Erma Jean Moore a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Elder Miller will be Saturday, January 13, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at Community Church of God in Christ, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Supt. Rodchester Rodgers, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. A wake will be held at Greater New Bibleway Church of God in Christ, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 from 9:00am-5:30pm and Saturday, January 13, 2007 from 8:30-11:30am. The family will receive friends at 510 West Beech, El Dorado, Arkansas.
