Helen Martin

Mrs. Helen Martin of El Dorado, Arkansas went home on January 3, 2007 to be with the Lord. She was born on August 14, 1922 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of Armon and Mary Fegurson Lovett. She was retired from Warner Brown Hospital and later worked at Good Sheperd Daycare Center, where she was known as "MamaDear". Everyone loved MamaDear. Sis. Martin confessed her faith at an early in life. She united with Evergreen Baptist Church wehre she served as a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Usher Board, served as Building Fund Clerk and Choir Member. Later it was placed upon her heart to unite with New Bethel Baptist Church where she served actively in the Mission Department, as a Choir Member, and sunday School Teacher, a service she enjoyed immensley. Sis. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Martin, a son Farris Martin, seven brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons; James Robinson of Ft. Worth Texas and Fred Martin of Little Rock, Arkansas; four daughters, Billye Jones of San Antonio, Texas, Verna Wilson(Freddie) of El Dorado, Arkansas, Carolyn White(Mose) and Sharon Martin all of El Dorado, Arkansas, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, one nephew and a host of much beloved cousins. Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Pierce Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Arlington Memorial Park, El Dorado, Arkansas. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2006 from 1:00-5:30pm and Saturday, January 6, from 8:30-9:30am. The family will receive friends at 800 South Jackson, El Dorado, Arkansas.
