Arnice K. Lee

Sister Arnic K. Lee was bronon April 16, 1916 in Union County, Arkansas, the daughter of Ed Kendrix and Emma Henry Kendrix. Arnice departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas. Arnice was united in holy matrimony to Virdie B. Lee, to this union two children were born, Emma R. and Georgia A. She worked as a housekeeper. She later moved to Los Angeles, California and worked as a cook for Spatic Children Foundation for many years. She moved to Beverly Healthcare, El Dorado, Arkansas on April 8, 2006 where she remained until her death. At an early age she joined North lapile C.M.E. Church, Urbana, Arkansas. She later became a member of Greater Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. She is a member of the Morning Star Lodge #122 O.E.S. Arnice was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Emma R. Henry, two sisters; Daisy Watson and Nellie R. Ewing, three brothers; Eddie V. Kendrix, Earnest Kendrix and Jimmy Kendriw. She is survived by her daughter, Georgia A. Blackmon(Earl) of Urbana; one brother, Corvin Kendrix of Urbana, Arkansas; four sisters, Carrie Buggs, Orlee Coefield both of El Dorado, Arkansas, Rosie Wallace of Huntsville, Texas and Betty Rawls of Pontiac, Michigan; five granddaughters, Gwendolyn Nettles of El Dorado, Arkansas, Debra Awardo of Los Angeles, California, Shelia McDavid(Lawrence)of Memphis, Tennessee, Connie M. Holman(Bill Jr.) of Los Angeles, California and Lanette Blackmon of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Seven great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Sis. Arnice will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 1:00p.m. at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Urbana, Arkansas with the Rev. C. L. Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt.Zion Cemetery, Urbana, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2006 from 9:00am-5:30pm and Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 8:30am-11:30am.
