"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..."Psalms 23 James Allen Foreman was born September 29, 1945 to Harvey and Mattie Lee Foreman in Ashley County. At an early age he united with the Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Batts Chapel Community. He attended Gardner High School in Strong, Arkansas and in 1967 he enlisted in the U. S. Army and became a Vietnam Veteran in 1969. On October 9, 1966 he united in Holy Matrimony ot Dianne Conway. "Syrup" as he was affectionally called by his family and friends was a great carpenter for people in his community and surrounding areas. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Leroy, Willie Lee, Clyde and Otis Foreman, two sisters Mayetta Adkins and Bobby Thompson. On Saturday, November 20, 2010 James transitioned to his final resting place at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. His memories will be cherished by his wife of forty-five years Dianne Foreman of Strong, Arkansas, his three sons, Roderick A. Foreman of Little Rock, Arkansas, James A. Foreman of Strong, Arkansas and SFC Patrick L. Foreman(Kendra) of Fort Wainwright, Alaska. One brother Arthur Lee Foreman of El Dorado, Arkansas; one sister Marie Duke(Kenneth) of Kennisas, Georgia. His grandchildren, Derrick, LaRenzo, Davonte', Anthony, Blessant, Tariah, quintaya Mathis Foreman, Joshep, Jasmine, JeKayla and Kurice Bradford. A very special friend, Raymond McMurrian of Strong, Arkansas. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for the Bro. Foreman will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.at Shiloh Baptist Church, Strong, Arkansas with Rev. Aluster Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Batts Chapel Cemetery, Huttig, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Vistation at the funeral home will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 9:00a.m to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 27 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of James Allen Foreman, please visit our flower store.
