Ruth E. Foppee

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..."Psalms 23 Sister Ruth E. Foppee was born on June 9, 1918 in Bernice, Louisiana the daughter of O.B. and Ella Davis Williams. She departed this life on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Santee Foppee, Sr. Ruth leaves to cherish her loving memories, one son, Santee Foppee, Jr. of El Dorado, Arkansas; two daughters, Thelma Lee Green of San Jose, California and Barbara Foppee of El Dorado, Arkansas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Homegoing Celebration for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Felton Burgie officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 9am to 5pm and Wednesday, October 13, from 8:30 to 9:30a.m. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Bessie Moore, 1614 East 14th Street, El Dorado, Arkansas.
