Ellis T. Dixon

Let not your heart be troubled; Ye believe in God, believe also in me. Ellis T. Dixon was born on August 1, 1935 in Epps, Louisiana to Idell and Leola Moore Dixon. At a very early age he accepted Christ and subsequently united with New Eastside Baptist Church whre he served on the Usher Board Ministry and several auxiliaries in the church. Ellis was a former employee and retiree of Pilgrim Pride. He thoroghly enjoyed fishing , his dogs and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Our creator called home his beloved son on March 13, 2010. His loving memories will be cherished by two daughters, Shea Dixon and Marilyn Dixon-Singleton both of Flint, Michigan; four sisters, Bobbie D.(Elmer) Glover of El Dorado, Arkansas, Mildred(Charlie) Williams and Mary(Charles)Jones both of Epps, Louisiana and Ida N. Bell of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers, Herman Bell and Percy Bell both of Epps, Louisiana and Bishop John Bell of California; five step-daughters, Felicia, Charlene, Monica, LaQuita and Cassandra, one step-son Albert K. Henry; twelve grandchildren, special friends, Sam Briggs and Josephine King, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss his kind spirit, easy going personality and warm smile. Funeral Services for Mr. Dixon will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church, El Dorado with Rev. Charles Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation for Mr. Dixon will be held on Friday, March 29, 2010 from 9am to 5pm and Saturday, March 30 from 9am to 12 Noon. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Ellis T.
