Donnie Ray Perkins

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...Psalms 23 Brother Donnie Ray Perkins was born on April 28, 1955 in Crossett, ARkansas to Tom and Juanita Goree Perkins. He was baptized at the Westside Church of Christ in Crossett, Arkansas. Donnie was employed at the Georgia Pacific Plywood in Crossett, Arkansas until he became disable. Donnie was a very energetic and loving person. He loved being around family and friends. He also had a great passion for music and sports. Donnie was preceded in death by his Father, Tom Perkins and a niece. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Juanita Perkins of Crossett, Arkansas, his brother Billy Perkins of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mildred Bivens of Atlanta, Georgia and Sandra Gill of Dallas, Texas. One niece, two nephews, two great nephews, one great niece and a host of other relatives and friends. A homegoing celebration for Donnie will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Donald Bivens, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Crossett, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation for Mr. Perkins will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Juanita Perkins, 307 South Penn Road, Crossett, Arkansas 71635.
