Blessed be the name of the Lord. Benny Ervin “Watermelon” Williams was born to George Washington Williams and Trudy Lee Reed Williams on August1, 1953. He was the seventh of eleven children. His father, mother, one sister Bernell Morton and one brother, Lonnell Williams preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Junction City High School. He united with the El Bethel Baptist Church at an early age where he remained a member until death. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: seven sisters, Ruby Davis, Doylene Pitts (Jesse) Verneida Buggs, Regina Gail Tubbs (Lavell) all of Three Creeks, AR, Geneva Odems of El Dorado, AR, Beverly Faye Pitts and Roslyn Hatter (Patrick) of Junction City, AR; one brother, Rev. George Williams, III. (Vera) of Smackover, AR. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4. Public visitation will be Friday January 26, 2018 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at El Bethel Baptist Church in Three Creeks, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
