Ada B. Owens

On June 1, 1958, she was united in Marriage to the Love of her life, Herman Owens, Jr. and to this union they were blessed with two sons. Mother Owens served on the Mother’s board and as an Executive board member. On Friday, July 21, 2017, Mother Owens peacefully transitioned to her eternal resting place. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman Owens Jr. and two grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Hicks and Inez Bradford and one brother, James Warren. Mother Owens loving memories will be cherished by two handsome sons: Herman (Shirley) Owens and Superintendent Kelly (Margie) Owens both of El Dorado, AR; two sisters, Earlene (Felton) Hill and Dorothy Larry; twenty-four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whose lives she impacted tremendously. Public visitation will be from 12 noon until 6:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Sims Mortuary. The Home going celebration will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Bouldware Temple Church of God In Christ with Bishop Joe B. Mason, Presiding officer and Chief Officiant, Elder Sandy Brown, Officiating and Superintendent Kelly Owens, Host Pastor. Interment will be in Community Cemetery in Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
