Carlee Owens Ross

"In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth...Genesis 1:1 Carlee Owens Ross, formerly of Smackover, Arkansas was born on April 1, 1944 in Union County, Arkansas the daughter of James and Mammie Jenkins Owens. She worked as a secretary for the San Francisco Hospital in San Francisco, California for 35 years. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters, Angela Davenport La-Mell of Suisun, California, Regina Davenport of Atlanta, Georgia and Rosland Mardis of San Francisco, California; three sisters, Pearline Stephens of Smackover, Arkansas, Mattie Hill of El Dorado, Arkansas and Dorothy Harper of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren. Homegoing Services for Sis. Ross will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Felton Burgie officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery, Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Service only. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Pearline Stephens 405 West 4th Street, Smackover, Arkansas.
