"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.."Psalms 23 Shirley J. Durdin was born on February 15, 1937 the daughter of Booker and Irene Freeman Harper in Union County, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roosevelt Harper, Hoozevelt Harper and George Harper; two sisters, Shirley Ann Henry and Bertha Harper; one son, Edward Glover and one grandson, Corey Glover and a stepson, Sterling Williams, Jr. Shirley attended school in Parkers Chapel. She worked at Calion Lumber Company for 33 years until her retirement. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter, Helen Tatum of El Dorado, AR; one grandson, Gavin Samuel(Candace); four granddaughters, Rolanda Michelle Banks(Alfred) of Conway, AR, Kimberly Murphy(Damon) of Jacksonville, FL, Keisha Ollison of Warren, AR and Kim Ford of Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Roy Harper(Laura) of Ashdown, AR, B.H. Harper,Jr. of California and James Harper(Louise) of California; one sister, Lillie Mae Brown of El Dorado, AR; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Homegoing services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church, El Dorado, AR with Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Stamps Cemetery, El Dorado, AR under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
