Annie Delois "Pat" Brogdon

Annie Delois "Pat" Vinson Brogdon was born January 14, 1937 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Eddie Vinson and Mattie Lee Loggins. She was raised by A.D. and Mattie Lee Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Franklin Vinson. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Army. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, she attended Nursing School in El Dorado, Arkansas and later obtained her license as a Licensed Pratical Nurse. Pat was employed by Warner Brown Hospital until her retirement. Pat united with New Bethel Baptist Church as a child and was a faithful member until she was called into eternity on November 24, 2015. From a historical standpoint, her name has been on the church roster longer than any other member.As a servant, she utilized her gift as a pianist for the church whenever needed and also served in the Mission Department. Annie Pat met the love of her life David Brogdon, Sr. at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and gave her hand in matrimony on November 7, 1956. To this union of fifty-nine years, they were blessed with five sons and one daughter. Her loving and fond memories will be cherished by her husband, David Brogdon, Sr. of El Dorado, Arkansas; five sons, David, Jr.(Mary)Brogdon of El Dorado, Arkansas, Hudnell(Loretta)Brogdon of Marietta, California, Kim Brogdon of New Orleans, Louisiana, Xavier Brogdon of El Dorado, Arkansas, Vinson Brogdon of Sumter, South Carolina and one daughter, Stephanie Crater of El Dorado, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. No viewing at the Services. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Bobby Patterson officiating. Interment will be in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary, Inc.
