"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..." Psalms 23 Leona Ozrean McClelland was born on December 9, 1927 in the Mt. Willie Community, the daughter of Jefferson and Janie Smith Phillips. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served faithful until her health failed. Leona departed this life on February 25, 2009 at University of Arkansas Medical Center. She married Robert Thomas McClelland and to this union five children were born, Robert, Jr., Lonnie, LaQuita, Joyce and Jessie. Her parents and her husband, one brother, Luther Phillips and three sisters, Oneita Alderson, Opaline Hill and Betty Palmer preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; two sons, Robert Thomas McClelland, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Lonnie McClelland of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughter, LaQuita McClelland of Houston, Texas, Joyce Crossley of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jessie McClelland of El Dorado, Arkansas; three sisters, Theresa Moore, Beatrice James both of El Dorado, Arkansas and Bobbie Richardson of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A host of nephews, neices, other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Services for Sis. Leona will be held at St. John Missionary Baptist Church El Dorado, Arkansas on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bobby Patterson. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery, Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, March 6, 2009 from 9am-5pm and Saturday, March 7, from 8:30-9:30am. Remains will be placd in the Church at 10:00 a.m. for viewing. No viewing after Funeral Time.
