"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...Psalms 23 Edward Earl Creer was born on April 5, 1928 in El Dorado, Arkansas the son of John Bunyon and Everlean Kimble Creer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and one daughter, Judy Frazier. Bro. Creer married the late Jerlean Smith of Bernice, Louisiana of which thirteen children were born. Edward was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Caledonia Community where he was a member of the choir and served as on the Deacon Board. He worked in the Logging business. He loved to farm. Edward leaves to cherish his loving memories, seven sons, Edward Creer, Clearneist Creer and Donald Ray Creer all of El Dorado, AR; Kenny Ray Creer and Cecil Creer both of Dallas, TX, Willie Mayes Creer of Vacaville, CA and Melvin Creer of Phoenix, AZ; and five daughters, Catherine Tubbs, Glenda Creer, Karen Creer, Lisa Erving and Michon Creer-Malone all of Phoenix, AZ; one sister Peggy Jean Shepphard of California; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother Creer was a proud third generation grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church-Caledonia, Junction City, AR with Rev. Larry Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Caledonia Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
