Johnny C. Jackson

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..." Psalms 23 Brother Johnny C. Jackson 64, of El Dorado, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born November 19, 1944, the son of J. C. and Mae J. Harris Jackson. He attended Tuskegee Institure and was a United States Postal Worker in California. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leroy Jackson and one sister Doris Elena Jackson. Survivors include five brothers, Felix Jackson and Horace Jackson both of El Dorado, Arkansas, Verge Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, Joe Jackson of Jackson, Mississippi, Jonathan Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia; seven sisters, Patricia Heinhold of Mannhain, Germany, Patsy Raulston of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Getwood of Port Arthur, Texas, Juanita Daniels of Strong, Arkansas, Jeanette O'Guinn, Annette Jackson and Keeley Alderson all of Venice, California. A Homegoing Celebration will be held for Bro. Jackson on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Sims Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Felton Burgie officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 9:00am-5:00pm and Wednesday, January 21 from 8:30am until funeral time.
