"I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith....." Sister Lula Mae "Kitty" Jamerson was born in Urbana, Arkansas,the daughter of Joseph Henry and Vera Lee Benton Lee. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Cordell where she served as a member of the Missionary Society, Sunday School and Discipleship Instructor and Leader in Bible Study Fellowship. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters. She met and married William Jamerson and to this union seven children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Dr. William Jamerson of El Dorado, Arkansas; six sons, William N.(Sandra)Jamerson of El Dorado, Arkansas, Namon L. Jamerson of Houston, Texas, Ricky Joe Jamerson and Dr. Ronald E. (Sheryl) Jamerson all of Schererville, Indiana; Kenneth T. Jamerson and Tracy M.(Barbara)Jamerson all of El Dorado, Arkansas; one daughter, Patricia Jamerson King of Pearland, Texas; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Homegoing Celebration for Sister Kitty will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church-Cordell with the Rev. Pierce Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Urbana, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visistation at the funeral home will be Monday, January 12, 2009 from 9am-5pm and Tuesday, January 13, from 8:30-10:30am.
